I set up a low-key shot with a black backdrop and one light however, I placed the spotlight in close and to the front of him so that he was well l.it. I then used the small, screw on macro lens to frame various parts of his face such as his eye, his ear and his mouth. I instructed my model to hold the lens at a small distance from his face so that the object behind it would be magnified, to give the impression of unusually large facial features. I found that once i had made minor changes to each photograph, I liked the combination of all three together in succession.

Again, I first used the curve tool to lighten this image. The main focus of this image is the ear of the model, particularly emphasising his ear piercings. I was pleased with this photo and thought that it only needed minor photoshop adjustments because i liked the authenticity of the photograph and did not want to create a false effect. |
