PROJECTION
NOTES:
For this shoot I used a low key set up, with a black background and very limited light on the subject however I used a projector to shine my selected pattern onto my model. I experimented with a few different patterns and I found that geometric and repeated patterns created the best effects as it warped around the figure of the model. Through this shoot I realised that I could change the size of the shadow by how close to the background my model stood, for example, a large gap between the model and the background created a larger shadow and therefore a more dramatic effect. I had a large aperture to allow light into the camera despite the lack of spotlights, this meant that I could also use a faster shutter speed to avoid a blurred photo as I was not using a tripod. If i was to do this shoot again, I would focus more on the whole person's figure rather than just their faces and I could then continue to attempt to show different emotions through their body language.
