SUITCASE
METHODOLOGY.
I intended to make a shoot of the items that children consider important, to show this I filled an old, worn suitcase with a teddy, an apple and some Lego. I purposefully chose very simple objects to highlight the innocence and naivety of the child. I used a low-key set-up to create a contrast between the white innocence of the teddy and the dark background (representing the outside/adult world). I took the photo from the angle of looking into the suitcase to emphasize the relative emptiness of the case to insinuate that the young person is not concerned with the importance of many things and that they focus on the simple objects. However, a lot of my photographs came out very dark because I did not place the case close enough to the spotlight so if I was to do this again I would set-up my layout better.
